Today, or yesterday now as I write this, was Labor Day. We spent it with my Mom’s side of the family at my cousin Tonya’s house in Douglasville, GA. My Papa, the patriarch, passed away within the last couple of months and this was technically the first holiday since he passed. I think it was tough on some of the family, but it’s always good to get together and reminisce about the past while creating new memories for reminiscing about in the future. Today was a good day and I know I enjoyed seeing family that I don’t see often and getting to spend time just catching up and sharing in a good meal. I hope you took time this holiday weekend to tell somebody you love them and to remember that life is precious and life is short. Don’t take a moment for granted. Here are some of the pictures I took so that we could spur some reminiscing in the coming years.
